Welcome, brothers and sisters in Christ, as we gather for
Praise, Prayer, Word and Worship!
“It won’t be the shortage of food and fun that will hurt. It will be the shortage “of hearing the words of the Lord” (Amos 8:11).
Toward the end, God will make himself so scarce that the world won’t even know what it’s starving to death for.” Frederick Buechner

PREPARATION AND PRAISE
GREETING and ANNOUNCEMENTS GATHERING PRAISE SONG
PRELUDE
We are excited that you are worshiping with Gethsemane today. OPENING PRAYER:2
Almighty and everlasting God,
in whom we live and move and have our being,
you created us for yourself,
so that our hearts are restless until they find rest in you.
Grant to us such piety of heart and strength of purpose that no selfish passion may hinder us from knowing your will, and no weakness from doing it.
In your light may we see life clearly and in your service find perfect freedom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”. “Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.
JOYS AND CONCERNS
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION (In unison after prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)
SHARING LOVE & PEACE in PLACE
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.”
