Reaching out to those that cannot attend church in person!
If any of our Parishioners are aware of Church family, neighbors, friends, other members of your families, etc that cannot attend Church or events in person, Gethsemane now has a way of including those folks. If you have anyone that you think of, who would appreciate receiving the weekly bulletin, please give me (Jeff) a call in the office @ 345-6860. We now send the weekly bulletins to shut-ins, those incapacitated, those that have no transportation and that stay in touch with the office. This feature is truly welcomed by those that receive it every week. Please get me names and addresses of those friends and family members whom we can reach out to, so we can include those that may feel left out. Bless you all.
HOLIDAY DINNER
Christmas
Our very own West Branch Food Pantry will be giving out Holiday Meal boxes for Christmas dinner this year to the 100 plus clients they serve now. Some outside Sources have made it possible to purchase Ham’s for Christmas which will brighten the Holidays for many folks that otherwise may not have had the opportunity.
We in the food bank do need a little bit of help from our friends and families of Gethsemane. There are a few things that we are still short of to meet the needs of the Christmas Distribution for the Holiday meal. We truly hope that help is in the air.
We are in need of: Instant Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Noodles and Sweet Potatoes. Hams will be here in time for Christmas.
Would you be able to help out, if so, please bring your food items to church with you and place them next to the cloakroom. The items would be needed before December 2. We are very proud of our Church and our Church family and how we all work together. God Bless you all and Thank you so much.
ATTENTION ** ATTENTION ** ATTENTION
Any time you use a water source here in the Church building,
please check them before you exit the building. The dishwasher Sprayer does leak heavily at times, and it is hot water that is leaking.
We do have some spigots that do leak heavy and gone unnoticed it can drastically increase our charged water consumption. We do have a couple toilets that seem to stick and sometimes do not shut off and are leaking water constantly. Our other concern of leaks is in the Kitchen dishwasher room. Please check that before leaving.

2020 Annual Church conference
The 2020 Annual Church Conference is THIS EVENING, NOVEMBER 22, @ 5:30 PM. At this time, the conference will be held at the Gethsemane Church. All members have a vote. Please don’t read this and say to yourself, this isn’t for me. It is very fulfilling to actually know about workings of the Methodist Church’s operations. Please come.

“GIVE A LITTLE ENCOURGEMENT CLUB”
Please join the ” A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT CLUB”. Some of our church family and friends can’t be with us for worship, for many reasons. They still think about us and pray for us. We started sending cards before the Virus hit but now that we’re worshiping together again, it would be nice to continue that. For the month of November, let’s bless a little surprise to boost their spirits.
June Haas 225 Dogwood Fr, Philipsburg PA 16866
Ethel StoneBraker P O Box 252 Morrisdale PA 16858
These are friends whom are unable to join us, and they would truly love to hear from friends here at Gethsemane.

We strive to keep the church building clean,
and ready for ministry.
Please inform the church office when a meeting is scheduled,
so the custodians can clean the space afterwards.
We ask each gathering to keep a list of attendees.
Should someone become sick,
and contact tracing become necessary, we will need the list.
Also, please send your meeting minutes to Jeff,
so we can maintain the record for future leaders and committees. Thank you for your leadership and discipline!
Visitation program for our families !
Think of the people around us who are our Church Famiy who are seriously challenged to get to do any needed shopping, to doctors, and to Church. Think of how an hour of our time would brighten their day. They love and need to reminisce and share. We’re building a team for visitation to these people. It would be for an HOUR or TWO a month. Please pray about joining the team. Call me at 345-6601, email me at ktowncamper@yahoo.comor message me on Facebook. I would love to talk to you about it. Thanks Robin Marshall. Please talk to Robin about this. We definitely have a need of this. People are truly lonely and feel left out of their Church and even society. A little conversation never hurt anyone and goes a long way for lonely people. BE A FRIEND!!! This post will be a permanent bulletin fixture here, as we must always be available for our less fortunate Sisters and Brothers.

SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS
TREASURES FOR CHILDREN
Gethsemane will once again participate in the Salvation Army Christmas Treasures for Children. It has been extremely successful here for many years.
We have our Tree in the Welcome area with children’s name tags attached to it. Please take a name tag and write your name next to that child on the clipboard on the table. There are also tags for toy ideas and tags for clothing ideas. Please bring UNWRAPPED gifts with the tag attached, to the Church by Sunday December 13.

Due to the recent rise in Covid cases, Fingers of Faith will be cancelled until further notice

OUR COOKIE ELVES NEED A LITTLE HELP
In past years, we would deliver cookies to first responders and businesses that were open on Christmas. Because Covid precautions, we can’t do it this year. Instead, we would like to fill boxes with individually wrapped items like crackers, cookies, fruit snacks, etc. We are asking for monetary donations to help fill the boxes. It’s important, especially now, that we let these men and women know how much we appreciate their service to our community. Please put donations in an marked envelope in our collection box or mail to the church
The Year 2020
What could one possibly have to say about the year we’ve had and are experiencing, that hasn’t been said ten trillion times already? This year has brought us a pandemic (we all know what that is now), it brought us excruciating Political propaganda that made us all ill at one point or another. We’ve been taught the importance of masks and how they can help save lives. And now we must wear them almost 24/7. REMEMBER—-SATAN—! He’s been able to infiltrate us with this evil and now the pain of what he’s done makes us very vulnerable to everything negative. It is extremely important that we never lose sight of what GOD has done for us and is doing for us through this Pandemic. I know how tragic this has been worldwide, but SATAN doesn’t own us. Being able to give thanks to GOD is what’s most important to us. Many folks feel lost and drained, now that we’ve endured so much this year.

in this Beautiful Church.
We are thankful that we are able to get around, come to church, see our grandkids, celebrate life, eat fairly normal, go places, and most of all to help others that are struggling. We at times have been selfish, but we pray every day, to be there for everyone and help them. We thank God always for protecting us.
