“When asked,
each of us could recount
the great blessings in our lives, the gifts we have received from God. But without such prompting most of us are not awake
to God’s welcome.”

*HYMN #711 “For All the Saints”
CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”. “Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.
REMEMBERING AND WITNESSING THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED
As the name is read, a family member or representative
will light a candle in remembrance of those who have joined the communion of saints since last All Saint’s Day,
and if so desire briefly share memories of the loved one.
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION (In unison after prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)
SHARING LOVE & PEACE in PLACE
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.” (Matt 25:35 NLV)

PRELUDE
“O Praise the Name”
We are excited that you are worshiping with Gethsemane today.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION2
Show us, good Lord,
how to be frugal, till all are fed;
how to weep, till all can laugh;
how to be meek, till all can stand in pride;
how to mourn, till all are comforted; how to be restless, till all live in peace;
how to claim less, till all find justice. Amen.
WORDS OF PARDON
L: Hear the good news:
Christ died for us while we were yet sinners;
that proves God’s love toward us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
P: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
All: Glory to God. Amen.
