Gethsemane Tithes

Worship Service Assistants

Until Things return nearer to normal,  no one will be assigned. At the present time, our worship needs are a liturgist and an Acolyte.  Judy has been our Pandemic Liturgist and Austin is our #1 acolyte. Judy has agreed to hang in there and we now have Austin back.  We will contact folks as we continue to increase more normal scenarios.

We are excited that you are worshipping with Gethsemane today.

OPENING PRAYER

Our heavenly Father,
we your humble children invoke your blessing on us.

We adore you, whose name is love,
whose nature is compassion, whose presence is joy,
whose Word is truth, whose Spirit is goodness,
whose holiness is beauty, whose will is peace,
whose service is perfect freedom,
and in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life.

Unto you be all honor and all glory;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”.

“Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.

PRAYER OF INTERCESSION     (In unison after prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and  the power and the glory forever. Amen

One of gethsemane’s own, need’s help!! could it be you?

Help needed.  One of our sisters in Christ, Helen Turley, needs someone to sit with her for 4 – 5 hrs a day while her daughter is working.  She can get around by herself but needs just some reminders to take her medication and eat.  The hours can be flexible with your schedule.  This is a paid position.  For more information, call her daughter, Leann, at 592-7298

*******************************************************”GIVE A LITTLE ENCOURGEMENT CLUB”

Please join the ” A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT CLUB”. Some of our church family and friends can’t be with us for worship, for many reasons.  They still think about us and pray for us.  We started sending cards before the Virus hit but now that we’re worshiping together again, it would be nice to continue that.  For the month of September, let’s bless a little surprise to boost their spirits.

Bettie Knepp ,  445 Old Rte 322,  P O B0X 4,  Wallaceton PA 16876

These are friends whom are unable to join us, and they would truly love to hear from friends here at Gethsemane.

Visitation program for our families !

Think of the people around us who are our Church Family who are seriously challenged to get to do any needed shopping, to doctors, and to Church.  Think of how an hour of our time would brighten their day.  They love and need  to reminisce and share. We’re building a team for visitation to these people.  It would be for an HOUR or TWO a month.  Please pray about joining the team. Call me at 345-6601, email me at ktowncamper@yahoo.com or message me on Facebook.  I would love to talk to you about it. Thanks Robin Marshall. Please talk to Robin about this. We definitely have a need of this. People are truly lonely and feel left out of their Church and even society.  A little conversation never hurt anyone and goes a long way for lonely people. BE A FRIEND!!!
