Worship Service Assistants

Until Things return nearer to normal,  no one will be assigned. At the present time, our worship needs are a liturgist and an Acolyte.  Judy has been our Pandemic Liturgist and Austin is our #1 acolyte. Judy has agreed to hang in there and we now have Hilde as our #1 backup.  We will contact folks as we continue to increase more normal scenarios.

PRELUDE

We are excited that you are worshipping with Gethsemane today.

OPENING PRAYER 1

O Wisdom on High,

by you the meek are guided in judgment,

and light rises up in darkness for the godly.

Grant us, in all doubts and uncertainties,

the grace to ask what you would have us do,

that we may be saved from all false choices,

and that in your light we may see light,

and in your straight path may not stumble;

through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

CHILDREN’S MESSAGE

Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”

“Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.

PRAYER OF INTERCESSION     (In unison after prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and  the power and the glory forever. Amen                     (Matthew 6:9-13)
