Welcome, brothers and sisters in Christ, as we gather for
Praise, Prayer, Word and Worship!
“We build relational power relationally… This is the intiating and continuing radical action that lies at the heart of community
and broad-based organizing–
and it ought to lie at the very heart
of the church, as well.” Robert C. Linthicum

GREETING and ANNOUNCEMENTS GATHERING PRAISE SONG
PRELUDE
We are excited that you are worshiping with Gethsemane today.
OPENING PRAYER : 2
“Almighty God, shield of the oppressed,
hear us as we pray for the friendless and the lonely, the tempted and the unbelieving.
Be merciful to those who suffer, in body or in mind,
to those who are in danger or distress, and who have suffered loss.
Let your love surround the infirm and the aged.
Be especially near to those who are passing through the valley of death. May they find eternal rest, and light at evening time;
CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”. “Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.
JOY AND CONCERNS
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION (In unison after prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
(Matthew 6:9-13)
SHARING LOVE & PEACE IN PLACE
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.”
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.”
