Worship Service Assistants

Until Things return nearer to normal,  no one will be assigned. At the present time, our worship needs are a liturgist and an Acolyte.  Judy has been our Pandemic Liturgist and Austin is our #1 acolyte. Judy has agreed to hang in there and we now have Austin back.  We will contact folks as we continue to increase more normal scenarios.

PRELUDE

We are so Happy that you’ve come to Worship with us here at Gethsemane today.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

All-merciful, tender God,

you have given birth to our world,

conceiving and bearing all that lives and breathes.

We come to you as your daughters and sons,

aware of our aggression and anger,

our drive to dominate and manipulate others.

We ask you to forgive us,

and by the gentle touch of your Spirit

help us to find a renewed sense of compassion,

that we may truly live as your people in service to all.

Amen.

WORDS OF PARDON

L:Hear the good news:  Christ died for us while we were       yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us.

CHILDREN’S MESSAGE

Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”.

“Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.

PRAYER OF INTERCESSION     (In unison after prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and  the power and the glory forever. Amen

(Matthew 6:9-13)
