TOGETHER SEEKING GOD
The first Sunday of every month is Building Fund Offering Sunday. This money will be used for capital expenses on our building. There are envelopes in the Welcome Center for your monetary gifts.
Leadership Council will meet MONDAY at 7 pm in Library. The Council reports can now be found in mailbox outside church office door.
Gethsemane Garden Circle Women’s Group will meet TUESDAY at 7 pm at the home of Judy Larson. (111 Hoover Lane, Kylertown) All ladies of the church are invited to become involved in this ministry.
Christmas Cantata practice is Thursday 7 pm in the sanctuary.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Please remember to pray for Pastor Jim, Sondra & Peter and let them know your appreciate their work at Gethsemane.
Custodian Needed – Greg Andrews is resigning as church custodian. We are looking for someone to take his place. Primary responsibilities are to clean the Fellowship Halls, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, etc, do the outside work and coordinate with our other custodian in locking and unlocking the building. Please contact Pastor Jim or the church office for more information.
MAKING NEW DISCIPLES
GUMC Youth will be having their Box Sleep Out Saturday, Oct 27.
The After School program is TUESDAY. It is a time for games, crafts, having devotions and snacks! If you can help with healthy snacks or money to purchase items for this program, please contact Penny 345-4222. You are always welcome to stop in and spend time with the kids.
RENEWING THE WORLD
The last Church Fundraiser Dinner for 2018 is October 27. Please take time and sign up to work at the dinner and make pies. Signup sheets are on bulletin board by main entrance and in the long hallway. If you do not want to bake pies, you can have them made here for $5 It takes many helpers to prepare and serve the meal. When the guests are all served, workers get to enjoy a free dinner. Sign up for the fun!
Your help is needed on THURSDAY to bag fruit & vegetables and fill shopping carts for Second Harvest. Meet in the gym at 2 pm
West Branch Food Pantry will be next Sunday. You may give a monetary donation or bring non-perishable items, such as canned fruit or vegetables, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, boxed meals, bags of sugar.
Our Mission Central HUB will be collecting items for CARE KITS. (aka Health Kits). If you would like to help, take a tag from the display in the Welcome Area. Please read carefully the notes about the items needed. The last day for items is NEXT SUNDAY.
Trunk N Treat will be Sunday, October 21 from 4-6 pm. There is a basket in the Welcome Center for donations to help with expenses. If you would like to donate individual mini packs of pretzels, individual small packages of cheese balls and extra bags of candy. please place in Room 3. Anyone interested in helping or having a trunk, please let Georgette know.
