Welcome, brothers and sisters in Christ, as we gather for
Praise, Prayer, Word and Worship!
“Empathy is the ability to put yourself in somebody else’s shoes– both in an emotional sense, to feel a bit of what they may feel, but also in a cognitive sense,
to see the situation from their perspective.
If you approach an interaction from an empathic stance,
you’re much less likely to have a negative perspective on whatever is going on.”

PREPARATION AND PRAISE
GREETING and ANNOUNCEMENTS GATHERING PRAISE SONG
PRELUDE
We are excited that you are worshiping with Gethsemane today.
GREETING : 2
O God of all the nations,
you manifested your love by sending your only Son into the world
that all might live through him. Pour your Spirit on your Church,
that it may fulfill his command to preach the gospel everywhere; send forth laborers into your harvest;
defend them in all dangers and temptations;
give them grace to bear faithful witness to you;
endue them with zeal and love, that they may turn many to righteousness;
through the same your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
Let us welcome the children: “Jesus Loves Me”. “Jesus loves me! This I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; they are weak, but he is strong. Yes! Jesus loves me, Yes! Jesus loves me. Yes! Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so”.
JOYS AND CONCERNS
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION (In unison after prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)
SHARING LOVE & PEACE in PLACE
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.”
