WELCOME VISITORS! We’re so glad you’re here today! If you’re visiting with us, please take a moment to complete a Welcome Card (located in pews) and place it in the offering box located at the back of the sanctuary. If you haven't yet received a Welcome Packet, we’d love to connect with you — please see the pastor after the service so we can personally greet you and provide one. Thank you for joining us.
PRAYER REQUEST CARDS- The pink prayer request cards that are in the pews are for anyone wishing a private prayer for themselves or someone else. Fold the cards and put in the collection plate. They will be given to the Pastor.
The first Fall CHURCH FUNDRAISER will be Baked Steak on Sept 12. Mark your calendars now and plan on helping. If you or a friend wants to reserve meals, please call Cathy (814-345-5739). Price $15. Meals can be picked up that day from 3 – 5 pm.
TOUCH-A-TRUCK- September 19. 12- 2 pm. Bring your children/grandchildren and let them experience the world of big vehicles. Fire truck, race car, tractor trailer, etc. There may be vendors here too!
BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING- October 4. 2- 3:30 pm. If you have never attended before, come and see what it’s all about. Buy a bowl of soup and a treat and watch the generosity of people as they bring food for the food bank, clothes for the clothing bank and shoes for the shoe bank.
TRUNK OR TREAT-FREE EVENT- October 25. 4- 5:30 pm. Please bring a canned item for the food bank. Walk a large parking lot and pick up “treats” from car trunks! Ages: 6th grade and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry no pets, please
SYLVAN GROVE CHURCH HOMECOMING will be next Sunday, September 6 @ 2:30 pm. As part of the USA 250th celebration, Pastor ClarePannebaker will read the Declaration of Independence and share some interesting facts about that time in history. Josh Maines will present special music. Come and experience the historical church that is opened only once a year.
A WISH LIST has been created for Day Care on Amazon. The lst includes cleaning supplies, classroom materials and snack items.
