WEST BRANCH AREA FOOD BANK as we begin to prepare for the upcoming

Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meal packages which are given to our food bank clients in addition to their regular monthly food items, during the

months of October, November and December we are encouraging the

donation of the following items; boxed mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, bags of noodles, canned green beans, canned or pouches of gravy,

boxed cakes mixes and canned frosting. Monetary donations are always appreciated, and checks can be made out to the West Branch Area Food

Bank and mailed to Gethsemane United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 185 Allport, PA 16821 Blessings for your continued support.

CHRISTMAS CHILD PACKING PARTY- Nov 14, 11 am to 2 pm in Faith Hall. There will be homemade soup and lots of fun.  All ages welcome.

CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES need turned in by Nov. 15.(Next Sunday)

COMING IN NOVEMBER: Gethsemane’s delicious pies and fruitcakes. Order forms will be in next week’s bulletin.

BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING UPDATE- Though the weather was gray and rainy, we still had quite a few dedicated neighbors come out to help neighbors.  The Food Bank, Clothing closet, Shoe Bank, Soap Pantry and Coat Closet all received many donations between the Bake & Soup Sales, and just outright donations., The Neighbors Helping Neighbors fund received $1,514, exceeding our goal!

It was great to see people stopping at the various Ministries to ask more about these Ministries and catch up with neighbors.  Sr. Suzanne had games for the kids- they had a blast.  Everyone enjoyed hearing the music of Joe Quick and (his young) sons.  All in all it was a good day.  Many thanks to all who participated.
