Prayer Shawl Ministry<\/h1>\n

Several years ago our church felt a great need to reach out to our community in individual prayer.\u00a0 It was then that our prayer shawl ministry began.\u00a0 Talented parishioners donate crocheted, knitted and sewn shawls to our ministry. As a need arises, a shawl is placed on the alter with a note attached with the name of the recipient and a brief explanation of the need. After the minister prays over the shawl it is passed through the congregation to allow the prayers of the people to be added.\u00a0 The shawl is then delivered to the individual.\u00a0 This ministry allows us to \u201cblanket\u201d the individual in prayer and let them know that our congregation is continuing to remember them and lift them before God.\u00a0 This ministry is an important part of our worship experience.<\/h3>\n
