Please take a tag off the tree in the Welcome Center to fulfill a child’s Christmas wish. there are tags for toy ideas AND tags for clothes. Be sure to write your name on the clip board by the child you choose. Please bring UNWRAPPED gifts with the tag attached to the church by Sunday December 15
FINGERS of FAITH is canceled until January.
On MONDAY, December 2, at 7 pm you are invited to Monday Night Prayer Time in the sanctuary. Come as we seek God’s blessing and direction for our church and the different ministries.
NEEDED: A church van driver and aide for Sunday School students. You would need to leave the church at 9 AM. If this is a ministry for you, please contact the church office.
Pray for our Sunday School and church van ministry. Please pray for the leaders as they teach the children, teen and adults about Jesus and pray for hearts and minds to receive the truth of God’s word and many would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

RENEWING THE WORLD
The Gethsemane Garden Circle will be hosting a Christmas Dinner at the home of Judy Larson on Tuesday December 10th at 6:00 PM. All women of the church are welcome. The sign up sheet will be on the bulletin board. We ask that you bring a dozen cookies to share.
Join us on Sunday, December 15th for Christmas Caroling for all ages. We’ll start off with a soup ‘n sandwich lunch at 12:30pm in the social hall and head out to sing for shut-ins around 1pm. Meet at the church and transportation will be provided during our caroling. Come join us spread some Christmas Cheer
It’s Gethsemane FRUIT CAKE time. Please try to come and help Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, December 2, 3, & 4 with baking @ 9:00 am each day. Fruit cake pick up times are Friday Dec 6, 4-6 pm and Saturday Dec 7, 10-1 pm.
MISSION CENTRAL IS TAKING CARE OF BABIES!
Gethsemane mission central is beginning Advent season and beyond by filling cribs for babies LOCALLY and World Wide. We ask that as you can, please bring from the following items listed by the Main Mission Central. These items will be combined to create BABY KITS.
Cloth diapers—pre-folded or plain. No disposable or shaped diapers
Shirts—Undershirts or onsies…..Wash cloths–Infant size only
Gowns or Sleepers—snaps, buttons, or ribbon fasteners are acceptable. Handmade or purchased acceptable. Sleepers with feet or sacks acceptable….Diaper pins–Must have protective plastic closures. No regular safety pins. Sweater or Jacket–Must open from the front. May be hand knitted, crocheted or sewn. Hooded sweatshirts are acceptable. Snaps, buttons, ribbon fasteners are fine… Receiving blankets–THIN not HEAVY fleece or flannel 26″ x 26″ to 32″ x 32″ preferred.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE NEW. Do not wash any of the items as they will be considered used. All Clothing sizes must be 9 months or smaller. It is not necessary for any of the material to be flame resistant. Do not include any personal notes, money or additional materials that will be used to make Baby Kits from the donated items. Each of the 7 items listed will be combined in the blanket to create our baby kits
The Centre Hill Grange will be hosting their annual Senior Citizens Community Christmas Dinner On Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 4:00 PM. Dig out an UGLY CHRISTMAS TOP and plan to come for great food and great fun.

THE REDEMPTION OF SCROOGE
Go from “Bah! Humbug!”
to a blessed Advent and Merry Christmas
Based on Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, will explore the world of Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the Cratchits, with an eye to Christian faith. Along the way we will meet the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come and learn about living with and for others in a world blessed by Jesus. A very unique and exciting study.
One more chance to join this Advent Bible study. Please come this Wednesday December 4 @ &:00 PM in the Sanctuary to learn and discuss these remarkable encounters with Christ. Study books are $9 and if you would enjoy joining please call the Church office (345-6860), to order a book.
The After School program is on TUESDAYS. It is a time for games, crafts, having devotions and snacks! If you can help with healthy snacks or money to purchase items for this program, please contact the GUMC office (345-6860) for more info and how you can help. You are always welcome to stop in and spend time with the kids.
