The 4th Sunday of the month is HUB Offering Sunday.  The money will go to help purchase items for the different Mission Central kits.

On MONDAY at 7 pm you are invited to Monday Night Prayer Time in the sanctuary.  Come as we seek God’s blessing and direction for our church and the different ministries. 

FINGERS of FAITH  Crochet/Knitting group meets TUESDAYS @ 6:30. Join the fellowship to learn, share a pattern or get help with a difficult stitch.

Hungry Warriors Men’s fellowship group will meet SATURDAY 8AM at Kwik Fill restaurant in Kylertown with leader, Ron Beistline

October is Pastor Appreciation Month.  Please remember to pray for Pastor Jim, Sondra & Peter and let them know you appreciate their work at Gethsemane.  

Grow Like A Willow Small  Group is sponsoring a bus to Joyce Meyer Ministries at the Giant Center, Hershey on November 9.   Admission is free.  The cost for the bus is $31 per person.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate whether you’d like to stop for dinner on the way home.  You can also contact Missy Maines (321-3036) or Robin Marshall (345-6601) for more information.

          MAKING      NEW            DISCIPLES  

NEEDED: A church van driver and aide for the 2nd Sunday of each month to pick up Sunday School students.  You would need to leave the church at 9 AM.  If this is a ministry for you, please contact Penny  345-4222.  

Pray for our Sunday School and church van ministry. Please pray for the leaders as they teach the children, teen and adults  about Jesus and pray for hearts and minds to receive the truth of God’s word and many would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.  

                        RENEWING THE WORLD

A BIG THANK YOU to all who helped with Trunk N Treat.  Over 1,400 children, teens and adults came to the event.  

It’s Shoebox Time through Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.  The world wide goal this year is 11 MILLION boxes to reach children who may never have received a gift.  The boxes are a tool to show God’s love through us.  There is a list on the table in the Welcome Area of things NOT to include in your box.  You may go to samaritanspurse.com for great gift ideas.  Please make sure a boy/girl label is on your UNWRAPPED box, held together with a rubber band.  Remember to pray for the child that will receive your box. You may included a letter, card and picture of yourself.  BOXES aredue NOVEMBER 17.  Any questions, contact Penny 345-4222.  

FALL BAZAAR will be Saturday, November 9 from 9 am – 1 pm.  There will be crafts, baked goods, homemade soup, fruitcakes, Rada Cutlery, Dishcloths and Indoor Yard Sale.  Plan now on helping with this Church fundraiser event.

GUMC Fall PIE SALE  will be held to raise funds for the upkeep of the Allport Cemetery.  You can choose between 8 different kinds of pies.  Order forms are in the Welcome Center.  Cost is $10 each.  Order forms and money due Nov 20.  Pies may be picked up Wednesday, November 27th from 2 – 6 pm just in time for Thanksgiving!
