The first Sunday of every month is Building Fund Offering Sunday.  This money will be used for capital expenses. There are envelopes in the Welcome Center for your monetary gifts. 

The Annual Sylvan Grove Homecoming is TODAY at 2:30 pm.  Rev. Vicki Beilfuss will be the guest speaker and Josh Maines family will provide special music. This was the first Methodist Church built in Cooper Township.  DIRECTIONS – From Kylertown traffic light, travel 2.2 miles north on Rollingstone Rd.  Turn left onto Church Hill Road.  Church will be on the left.    

FINGERS of FAITH  Crochet/Knitting group meets TUESDAYS @ 6:30. Join the fellowship to learn, share a pattern or get help with a difficult stitch.

“Grow Like A Willow” a small group for women will meet THURSDAY  @ 7 pm with Missy Maines as leader.  

Hungry Warriors Men’s fellowship group will meet SATURDAY 8AM at Kwik Fill restaurant in Kylertown with leader, Ron Beistline

Grow Like A Willow Small  Group will be sponsoring a bus to Joyce Meyer Ministries at the Giant Center, Hershey on November 9.   Admission is free to the conference.  The cost for the bus is $31 per person.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate whether you’d like to stop for dinner on the way home.  You can also contact Missy Maines (321-3036) or Robin Marshall (345-6601) for more information.

                        MAKING      NEW            DISCIPLES  

Pray for our Sunday School and church van ministry. Please pray for the leaders as they teach the children, teen and adults  about Jesus and pray for hearts and minds to receive the truth of God’s word and many would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.  

                        RENEWING THE WORLD

God’ Clear View Ministries invites all women to a Women’s Day Retreat Garden Tea Party on Saturday, Sept 7 from 9-3.  Information on bulletin board by sanctuary entrance.

Mission Central HUB news – We will be collecting items to complete some School Kits.  On easel located in the Welcome Center are items that are needed.  Please read the note carefully!  Last day to bring items is September 22.  

West Branch Food Pantry Sunday will be next Sunday.  You may give a monetary donation or bring non-perishable items, such as canned fruit or vegetables, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, boxed meals, bags of sugar.  

West Branch Area Compassion Walk will be Sunday, October 6.

It will start at the Palestine UM Church, 2 pm.  Half the money raised will go directly into the Compassion Fund and the other half will be divided among the 2 area  Food Pantries (West Branch and Karthaus). If you want to walk,  there are envelopes for you to collect money on the display board in Welcome Center.  If you don’t want to walk, but would like to help, you can give a monetary donation. Put it in an envelope  with Compassion Walk on front and place in offering plate.  Checks should be written out to  West Branch Ministerium.  

Volunteers in Mission Team Leader Training will be Nov.2 in Lewistown.  Topics covered include: Best Practices, Cultural Awareness, Health & Safety, Team Orientations, Useful Forms, and Fundraising. Open to all: those who have lead teams and those who have never been on a team.  We can all learn to become better missionaries and servants.  If interested, contact Penny 345-4222

When food items or drinks get spilled on the floor or pew, please let Susan, Tom or  Pam know ASAP so spills can be cleaned before stains set in.  Coffee and red/purple juice make bad stains on the carpet and pews.  Thanks for your help!

* Enjoy the Celebration of Missions with displays in the

 Welcome Center Area. 

* Look for opportunities to plug into ministry and missions with the Gethsemane Community. 

* Hear an  introduction to our Sunday School programs for the fall.  

11: 00 am

 Start in the Sanctuary with a time of praise and worship that will

 include a prayer walk.  

Options for Prayer Walk : 

            *Walk around the West Branch Area School

            *Walk the  Prayer Labyrinth downstairs

            *Spend the time praying in the Sanctuary

After the prayer walks have concluded, we’ll assemble back in the Sanctuary  to worship as we being our annual journey through the Bible. 

 It’ll be a great time to renew your faith and a great time to make a new start in faith. Join us and expect God to bless you as we gather!
