Come as we seek God’s blessing and direction for our church and the different ministries. FINGERS of FAITH Crochet/Knitting group meets TUESDAYS @ 6:30. Join the fellowship to learn, share a pattern or get help with a difficult stitch. “Grow Like A Willow” a small group for women will meet THURSDAY @ 7 pm with Missy Maines as leader. Hungry Warriors Men’s fellowship group will meet SATURDAY 8AM at Kwik Fill restaurant in Kylertown with leader, Ron Beistline Grow Like A Willow Small Group will be sponsoring a bus to Joyce Meyer Ministries at the Giant Center, Hershey on November 9. Admission is free to the conference. The cost for the bus is $31 per person. There are 2 sessions (morning and afternoon). Once we are at the Center, we won’t leave until the afternoon session is over. There will be vendors there to buy lunch. Please sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate whether you’d like to stop for dinner on the way home. You can also contact Missy Maines (321-3036) or Robin Marshall (345-6601) for more information. MAKING NEW DISCIPLES Vacation Bible School was held July 8-11. During the week, 59 children/teens and 24 adults learned about God’s Miraculous Mission to save the world by sending Jesus to rescue people from sin. “The Breakfast Club” Sunday School class for ages 18 – 30 meets at Robin Marshall’s house from 9:45 – 10:45 studying the book; Cold Case Christianity by J Warner Wallace. Call Robin 345-6601 or Glenda Dotts 339-7794 if you have any questions. RENEWING THE WORLD August 11, 2019 will be “Sunday Fun Day”. There will be a picnic at Lakemont Park at 1 pm. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Bring a covered dish to share. Admission to the park is free. If you want to ride, cost of ticket is $15.95 per person. Then Faith Night at the Curve starts at 6 pm. Tickets cost $6 each. If you are going to Curve Game, money is due NEXT SUNDAY. Please put money in envelope with your name and write CURVE GAME on it and place in offering plate. If you are paying by check, make it out to Gethsemane. Come and enjoy a day filled with fellowship, friends, food and FUN! Sign-up sheets are located in the Welcome Center. GUMC Annual Corn Boil will be Tuesday, August 20th 6 pm. Corn on the cob, hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided. Bring a salad or dessert to share. SIGN UP sheet on the bulletin board by sanctuary entrance. GUMC Youth will be collecting scrap metal and accepting donations throughout the year to raise money for the mission trips. Please call Steve (761-1722) if you have scrap metal to donate. + + + + + + + + + + When food items or drinks get spilled on the floor or pew, please let Susan, Tom or Pam know ASAP so spills can be cleaned before stains set in. Coffee and red/purple juice make bad stains on the carpet and pews. Thanks for your help! When prayer requests are called into the office, a prayer chain is contacted.
