Mission Sunday Offering is the third Sunday of every month. This money will go towards our ongoing commitments to the Kafakumba Center, Zambia, Africa and Abe and Jordyn Skacel as we partner with them in their ministries.

FINGERS of FAITH  Crochet/Knitting group meets Tuesdays @ 6:30. Join the fellowship to learn, share a pattern or get help with a difficult stitch.

On MONDAY, April 29 at 7 pm you are invited to Monday Night Prayer Time in the sanctuary.  Come as we seek God’s blessing and direction for our church and the different ministries.  

NEEDED: Someone willing to clean the white communion robes.  They are washable.  See Wayne Bambarger for details. 

Parents, there are Busy Bags in the Welcome Center for children to use during worship service. 

                        MAKING      NEW            DISCIPLES  

The After School program is TUESDAY.  It is a time for games, crafts, having devotions and snacks!  If you can help with healthy snacks or money to purchase items for this program, please contact Penny 345-4222.  You are always welcome to stop in and spend time with the kids.

Monetary donations (Weis or Wal-Mart gift cards) are always welcome to help with cost of Sunday morning Children’s Breakfast.  If you would like to donate, please put money in envelope marked “Children’s SS Breakfast” and place in offering plate.  

                        RENEWING THE WORLD

GUMC Youth Group will be going to Keyser,  West VA the week of June 16 for their mission trip.  The cost per teen is $225.  If anyone would like to donate money to help sponsor a teen, please place your money in an envelope marked Mission Trip and put in offering plate.  The youth are collecting scrap metal to help raise money.  If you have any scrap metal, please remind Steve so he can arrange a pick up time.  

The Lighthouse Evangelical Church is sponsoring an Alcohol Awareness Program for teens and adults on WEDNESDAY  at 7 pm.  Join us as we discuss alcohol’s affects on the body & society.  Discover what God’s Word has to say

Ladies Self Defense Class will be held in the gym from 6-8 pm FRIDAY.  Cost $20.  Taught by Grandmaster Wiles from International Christian Martial Arts Association. Any Questions: Contact Bryan Sanker 577-8318.

GUMC Daycare is hiring part-time and casual caretakers.  Requirements: high school diploma, clearances and 2 years experience. (Will help obtain clearances if needed). Contact Joy Billings 345-3809 or 762-6093

The Allport- Bigler-Woodland Work Camp will be June 16-21.  Work request forms are available on the Mission table in the Welcome Center for those who need help from the work camp.  Give completed work request forms to Penny Shadeck or Dick Rothrock.  If you would like to be on the Work Team, applications are on the mission table.   

A big Thank You to all who are involved in the JJ Powell Church Program for heating fuel.  A check was received for $166.13 for the months July – Dec 2018.  Church attenders who wish to participate in the Church program can call JJ Powell anytime  342-3190.

Thank you to all who brought in computer ink cartridges for recycling.  A check for $74.15 was received from Empties for Cash.
